Ingredients
Wet Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients:
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon if using. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir just until combined.
- Add optional mix-ins: Fold in the nuts or chocolate chips, if using.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
