Description

These Easy Apple Crescent Dumplings wrap tender apple slices in flaky crescent dough, all baked in a buttery cinnamon-sugar syrup for the ultimate cozy dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and cut into 8 slices each
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup lemon-lime soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place an apple slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll up tightly.
  3. Arrange dumplings in the prepared dish.
  4. In a bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour evenly over the dumplings.
  5. Carefully pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the dumplings, avoiding the tops.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until dumplings are golden brown and syrup is bubbling.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

  • Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Use crisp apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best texture.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • To reheat, warm in a 325°F oven for 15–20 minutes.
