These Easy Apple Crescent Dumplings wrap tender apple slices in flaky crescent dough, all baked in a buttery cinnamon-sugar syrup for the ultimate cozy dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and cut into 8 slices each
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup lemon-lime soda
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place an apple slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll up tightly.
- Arrange dumplings in the prepared dish.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour evenly over the dumplings.
- Carefully pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the dumplings, avoiding the tops.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until dumplings are golden brown and syrup is bubbling.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
