Ingredients
Ingredients
- 4 lobster tails (4–6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges and chopped parsley for serving
Instructions
- Preheat and prepare lobster tails: Preheat the oven broiler to high, placing the rack about 6 inches from the heat source. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping at the base. Gently pull the meat up through the slit, resting it on top of the shell while still attached at the base.
- Make butter mixture: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Brush lobster meat: Generously brush the butter mixture over the exposed lobster meat on each tail, ensuring good coverage for flavor and moisture.
- Broil lobster tails: Place the lobster tails meat side up on a baking sheet. Broil for 8–10 minutes or until the meat is fully opaque, slightly browned on top, and reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
- Finish and serve: Remove from the oven and optionally brush with more melted butter for extra richness. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and a sprinkle of chopped parsley for brightness.
Notes
- For added flavor and moisture, spoon some of the melted butter over the lobster tails halfway through broiling.
- Adjust broil time based on lobster tail size; smaller tails may cook faster.
- Be careful not to overcook to keep lobster meat tender and juicy.
