Description

Ingredients

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Diablo Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 red chili peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, toss the shrimp with garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Make the Diablo Sauce: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and chili peppers, sauté until softened. Stir in tomato puree, chicken broth, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet with the Diablo sauce. Cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.
