Description

Deviled Strawberries are a delightful and easy-to-make dessert that features fresh strawberries filled with a creamy, sweet mixture and topped with a sprinkle of graham crackers or chocolate shavings.

Ingredients

Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Additional:

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, halved and hulled
  • Crushed graham crackers or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Scoop out strawberries: Using a small spoon or melon baller, slightly scoop out the center of each strawberry half to create a small well.
  2. Prepare filling: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and lemon zest (if using), and beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Fill strawberries: Transfer the filling to a piping bag fitted with a star or round tip. Pipe the filling into the hollowed strawberry halves.
  4. Add garnish: Sprinkle with crushed graham crackers or chocolate shavings for garnish.
  5. Chill and serve: Chill for at least 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use whipped cream cheese for a lighter texture.
  • For a chocolate twist, add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to the filling.
  • Best served the same day.
