Ingredients
Pie Crust:
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Filling:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon bourbon (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs, then add flour, salt, bourbon, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.
- Add mix-ins: Fold in chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
- Fill pie crust: Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust and smooth the top.
- Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden and set. Check doneness with a toothpick.
