Description

These Deep Dish Pizza Cupcakes are a fun twist on traditional pizza, baked in a muffin tin for a cute individual serving. They are perfect for parties or a quick and easy dinner option.

Ingredients

Dough:

  • 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough

Toppings:

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices or chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the dough: Separate the biscuit dough and flatten each piece into a 3-inch round. Press each round into the muffin cups, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides.
  3. Add toppings: Spoon about 2 teaspoons of marinara sauce into each dough cup, followed by mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and optional vegetables. Top with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  4. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize toppings with different meats or extra veggies.
  • Substitute store-bought pizza dough for biscuits for a more traditional crust.
