Ingredients
For the Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
For the Filling:
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), divided
For the Pudding Layer:
- 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
Additional Toppings:
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chocolate sauce
- Extra chopped pecans for topping
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans until crumbly. Press into a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for 15–18 minutes. Let cool.
- Make the Creamy Filling: Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping and spread over the crust.
- Create the Pudding Layer: Whisk together chocolate and vanilla pudding mixes with cold milk until thickened. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
- Top and Chill: Spread remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer. Drizzle caramel and chocolate sauces, sprinkle with chopped pecans. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer version, use dulce de leche and hot fudge instead of standard caramel and chocolate sauce.
- This dessert is best made ahead and chilled overnight for the layers to set perfectly.
