Description

This Decadent No-Bake Chocolate Lasagna is a rich, layered dessert featuring a crunchy Oreo crust, creamy cheesecake filling, and layers of chocolate and vanilla pudding topped with whipped topping and chocolate drizzle. Perfect for chocolate lovers, it requires no baking and can be prepared in under an hour, making it an easy yet impressive treat for gatherings or special occasions.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 14.3 oz package Oreo cookies (regular, not double stuffed)
  • 1/2 cup melted margarine or butter

Cheesecake Layer

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Pudding Layers

  • 5.1 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 5.1 oz instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk

Topping

  • 8 oz Cool Whip, softened
  • Chocolate syrup, for drizzle
  • 1 cup reserved Oreo cookie crumbs
  • Optional: chocolate curls or favorite chocolate candies for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Pulse the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Reserve 1 cup of crumbs for topping. Mix the remaining crumbs thoroughly with the melted margarine or butter, then press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan. Chill the crust in the refrigerator to set.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer: In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 8 oz of Cool Whip, and powdered sugar together until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. Spread this cheesecake filling evenly over the chilled Oreo crust and return the pan to the refrigerator to chill again.
  3. Prepare pudding layers: Whisk both the instant chocolate pudding mix and instant vanilla pudding mix with the 3 cups of cold milk until the mixture thickens. Once thickened, gently spread the pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer in the pan, taking care not to mix the layers together.
  4. Add the final topping: Spread the remaining 8 oz of softened Cool Whip over the pudding layer smoothly. Sprinkle the reserved Oreo crumbs evenly on top and drizzle with chocolate syrup. Optionally, add chocolate curls or favorite chocolate candies for an extra decorative touch.
  5. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the assembled dessert for at least 30 minutes to allow the layers to set properly. When ready, slice into servings and serve cold for a refreshing, indulgent treat.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreo cookies for the best texture; avoid double-stuffed varieties to maintain the right balance in the crust.
  • Make sure all cream cheese and Cool Whip are softened to achieve a smooth filling consistency.
  • Chilling between layers helps keep the layers distinct and improves the dessert’s structure.
  • This dessert can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator to enhance flavors and texture.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute Oreos with a gluten-free cookie alternative.
