  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk

Caramel Frosting:

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for caramel)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • Additional caramel drizzle for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
