Ingredients
Chicken:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Sauce:
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Stuffing:
- 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix
Green Beans:
- 2 cups fresh or frozen green beans
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
Instructions
- Prepare Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the inside of your slow cooker.
- Layer Ingredients: Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly over the chicken.
- Add Stuffing and Green Beans: Sprinkle the dry stuffing mix evenly over the top. Scatter the green beans over the stuffing, then dot the top with butter pieces.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2 1/2–3 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Serve: Fluff the stuffing before serving and spoon sauce over the top of each portion.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sear the chicken breasts in a skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
- You can also use canned green beans, but add them during the last hour of cooking to prevent over-softening.
