Ingredients
Frozen Meatballs:
- 1 (32 oz) bag frozen fully cooked meatballs
Sauce:
- 1 cup apple jelly
- ¾ cup barbecue sauce (your choice of flavor)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish:
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the apple jelly, barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth.
- Cook in Crock Pot: Add the frozen meatballs to the crock pot and pour the sauce over them, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until the meatballs are heated through and the sauce is thickened. Stir occasionally if possible.
- Finish and Serve: Once done, garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm as an appetizer or over rice for a main dish.
Notes
- You can swap in homemade meatballs if preferred.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne or a splash of hot sauce to the mixture.
