Description

This Crispy Parmesan Crusted Chicken recipe is inspired by the delicious dish served at Longhorn Steakhouse. Juicy chicken breasts are coated with a flavorful mixture of mayonnaise and spices, topped with a cheesy breadcrumb mixture, and baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts;

Coating:

½ cup mayonnaise; 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard; 1 teaspoon garlic powder; 1 teaspoon onion powder; ½ teaspoon paprika; ½ teaspoon salt; ¼ teaspoon black pepper;

Cheese Topping:

1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese; ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese; ½ cup panko breadcrumbs; 2 tablespoons melted butter; chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Prepare the chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  3. Make the coating: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread over each chicken breast.
  4. Prepare the topping: Combine shredded cheese, Parmesan, panko breadcrumbs, and melted butter. Sprinkle over chicken.
  5. Bake: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until chicken is cooked through and topping is golden brown.
  6. Rest and serve: Let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for 1–2 minutes at the end of baking.
