Description

These Crispy Garlic Mushroom Bites are the perfect appetizer or snack. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, these flavorful mushrooms are a crowd pleaser.


Ingredients

Mushrooms:

  • 16 oz whole button or cremini mushrooms (cleaned and stems trimmed)

Batter:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Breading:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Other:

  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Whisk eggs and milk in a small bowl. Place flour in a shallow bowl. Combine panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in another bowl.
  2. Bread Mushrooms: Dip mushrooms in flour, then egg mixture, then breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to coat.
  3. Fry Mushrooms: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry mushrooms in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For an oven-baked version, spray coated mushrooms with oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  • Great with ranch, garlic aioli, or marinara sauce.
