Indulge in the crispy goodness of our homemade Crispy Fried Shrimp Burger with a flavorful sauce that elevates every bite. Perfect for seafood lovers looking for a delicious twist on a classic burger.

Ingredients

For the shrimp patties:

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, and roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs, divided
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the homemade sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon sweet relish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional

For assembly:

  • 4 brioche buns, toasted
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4 tomato slices
  • 4 slices red onion, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp patties: In a mixing bowl, combine chopped shrimp, mayonnaise, egg, 1/2 cup panko, green onions, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Shape into 4 patties, coat with remaining panko, and fry until golden brown.
  2. Make the homemade sauce: Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, lemon juice, paprika, and cayenne.
  3. Assemble the burgers: Spread sauce on toasted buns, add lettuce, tomato, onion, a shrimp patty, and the bun tops. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double-coat the patties in panko.
  • You can air fry the shrimp burgers at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • The sauce also works great as a dipping sauce for fries.
