Description

Crispy Baked Boursin is a delightful appetizer featuring a creamy Boursin cheese center encased in a crispy, seasoned breadcrumb coating. This French-inspired dish is perfect for entertaining or as a gourmet addition to any cheese board.


Ingredients

Boursin Cheese:

  • 1 (5.2-ounce) round of Boursin cheese (any flavor)

Breading:

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Olive oil spray or drizzle (for baking)
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley, honey drizzle, red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Breading Stations: Place flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs in three separate shallow bowls. Mix pepper and garlic powder into the breadcrumbs.
  3. Bread the Cheese: Roll Boursin cheese in flour, dip in egg, coat in breadcrumbs. Repeat for extra crispiness.
  4. Bake: Place breaded cheese on baking sheet, spray with olive oil, bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and crisp.
  5. Serve: Let cool for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley, honey, or red pepper flakes. Serve warm with crackers, crostini, or veggies.

Notes

  • You can air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
