Description

Creamy Tomato Garlic Pasta wraps tender noodles in a rich, velvety tomato and garlic sauce for the ultimate comfort meal with elegant simplicity.

Ingredients

  • Pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your favorite shape)
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh garlic, finely chopped
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Canned crushed tomatoes (fire-roasted optional)
  • Heavy cream
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant and golden, stirring constantly. Add red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour in crushed tomatoes and scrape the pan bottom. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream until the sauce turns pink. Add Parmesan and stir until melted. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Add drained pasta and toss to coat evenly. Cook for 1–2 minutes to let flavors blend. Add more Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Top with basil, extra Parmesan, black pepper, or olive oil drizzle.
  • Serve with salad, crusty bread, roasted veggies, or grilled chicken.
  • Twirl into nests for dinner parties or serve family-style in a big bowl.
  • Store in fridge up to 3 days; freeze sauce separately for best results.
  • Reheat with a splash of milk or cream over low heat or in the microwave.
  • Make vegan with plant-based cream and cheese substitutes.
  • Fresh tomatoes can replace canned—simmer longer to concentrate flavor.
  • Add more red pepper or chili paste for a spicier version.
  • Include chicken, shrimp, sausage, or chickpeas for added protein.
