  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear chicken on both sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and sauté onions until translucent, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the onion mixture and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve the creamy smothered chicken over a bed of cooked rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
