- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear chicken on both sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and sauté onions until translucent, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Sprinkle flour over the onion mixture and stir to coat evenly.
- Slowly whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
- Serve the creamy smothered chicken over a bed of cooked rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
