Description

Indulge in a decadent yet simple-to-make Creamy Shrimp Pasta that’s bound to become a family favorite. Tender shrimp, al dente pasta, and a luscious creamy sauce come together in this delightful dish.

Ingredients

Pasta:

  • 12 ounces fettuccine or linguine pasta

Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Shrimp: In a large skillet, cook shrimp in olive oil over medium-high heat until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté garlic in butter. Add heavy cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Combine and Serve: Add pasta and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Enhance the dish with sautéed spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor.
