Ingredients
Peanut Butter Sauce
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1–2 teaspoons sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1/4 to 1/3 cup warm water (to thin to desired consistency)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, sriracha (if using), minced garlic, and freshly grated ginger until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Adjust Consistency: Gradually whisk in warm water a little at a time until the sauce reaches your desired consistency—either smooth and pourable for drizzling or thicker for dipping.
- Taste and Season: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more soy sauce, sweetener, or sriracha to balance the flavors.
- Serve or Store: Use the sauce immediately as a dip or drizzle. Alternatively, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
