- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Sauté Garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add Flour: Whisk in flour and cook for another 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
- Whisk in Milk and Cream: Slowly whisk in milk and heavy cream until smooth.
- Cook: Cook the sauce for 3–4 minutes until it thickens.
- Season and Cheese: Add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and Parmesan. Stir until cheese melts and sauce is creamy.
- Cool and Use: Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using on pizza dough.
