Ingredients

Shrimp:

1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Garlic Butter Sauce:

1 tablespoon olive oil, 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, 4 cloves garlic (minced), 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine, 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional), 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, juice of 1/2 lemon


Instructions

  1. Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook shrimp until pink and opaque. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, sauté garlic, add broth or wine, simmer, then stir in cream and Parmesan. Cook until slightly thickened.
  3. Combine and Serve: Season the sauce, return shrimp to the skillet, warm through, add lemon juice, and garnish with parsley before serving.
