Ingredients
Dairy & Base
- 1 1/2 cups Greek Yogurt (unflavored)
- 1 (8-ounce) package Cream Cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 4 ounces Sharp Cheddar Cheese (grated)
Vegetables & Herbs
- 2 cups Refrigerated Dill Pickles (chopped, divided into 1 2/3 cups and 1/3 cup for garnish)
- 2 Tablespoons Fresh Dill (diced)
Seasonings & Add-ins
- 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- 1 packet Dry Ranch Dressing Mix (approximately 3 Tablespoons)
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons Hot Sauce (Yellowbird hot sauce or preferred brand)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- Pepper (optional, to taste)
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and Greek yogurt. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add Flavorings: Gently fold in 1 2/3 cups of the chopped dill pickles (reserve 1/3 cup for garnish), diced fresh dill, grated sharp cheddar cheese, dry ranch dressing mix, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and onion powder. Mix until well incorporated.
- Taste and Adjust: Sample the dip and adjust seasoning by adding salt, pepper, or extra hot sauce as desired to achieve the perfect balance of flavors.
- Chill the Dip: Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 to 60 minutes. Chilling allows the flavors to meld together for a richer taste and better texture.
- Garnish and Serve: Before serving, garnish with the reserved 1/3 cup chopped dill pickles, additional fresh dill, or extra cheddar cheese if desired. Serve the dip with kettle potato chips, crackers, or pieces of French bread for dipping.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature for easier mixing and smoother texture.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your taste preference; start with less if you prefer milder heat.
- For best flavor, prepare the dip a few hours ahead of time to allow the seasonings to fully blend.
- This dip can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Use dill pickles that are not excessively watery to avoid thinning out the dip.
