Description
Indulge in the rich and creamy goodness of this Coffee Panna Cotta, a delightful Italian dessert infused with the bold flavors of coffee. It’s a perfect no-bake treat for coffee lovers.
Ingredients
For the Panna Cotta:
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee or espresso powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin
- 3 tablespoons cold water
Optional Toppings:
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate shavings
- Cocoa powder
- Coffee beans
Instructions
- Bloom the Gelatin: In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Panna Cotta Mixture: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, cream, sugar, and instant coffee. Stir until the sugar and coffee dissolve and the mixture is hot but not boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Add the bloomed gelatin and whisk until fully dissolved.
- Chill and Serve: Pour the mixture into ramekins or serving glasses. Let cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set. Before serving, top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a dusting of cocoa if desired.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the instant coffee slightly or use brewed espresso in place of part of the milk.
- To unmold, dip ramekins briefly in hot water and invert onto a plate.
