Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, dried cranberries, chopped pecans, orange zest, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir them until evenly distributed.
- Combine wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey or maple syrup, unsweetened applesauce, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and well blended.
- Mix wet and dry: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir thoroughly until all ingredients are fully combined into a sticky batter.
- Press the mixture in the pan: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it down firmly to create an even, compact layer for bars.
