Description

These Crabby Shrimp-Stuffed Garlic Bread Bombs are a delightful seafood twist on a classic favorite. Combining succulent shrimp and crab meat with creamy cheese and aromatic garlic, this recipe transforms ordinary garlic bread into a show-stopping appetizer or snack that will wow your tastebuds with its rich flavors and satisfying texture.

Ingredients

For the Garlic Bread Bombs

  • 1 loaf of garlic bread

For the Crab and Shrimp Filling

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup crab meat
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven. Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the correct temperature for baking the bread bombs later.
  2. Prepare the seafood filling. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped cooked shrimp, crab meat, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, chopped green onions, garlic powder, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly until well incorporated.
  3. Hollow out the garlic bread. Slice the garlic bread loaf in half lengthwise, then carefully scoop out some of the bread from the center of each half, creating a cavity for the filling while leaving a sturdy crust.
  4. Fill the bread. Spread the crab and shrimp mixture evenly inside the hollowed-out sections of the garlic bread halves, making sure the filling is well distributed.
  5. Bake. Place the stuffed garlic bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bread turns golden brown and the filling is thoroughly heated.
  6. Serve warm. Remove the bread bombs from the oven, allow them to cool slightly, slice into portions, and enjoy while warm for the best flavor and texture experience.

Notes

  • Use fresh or high-quality cooked shrimp and crab meat for the best flavor.
  • For a sharper taste, you can add a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top before baking.
  • If you prefer less mayonnaise, adjust the quantity to your taste or substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • These bread bombs make a great appetizer or party snack—serve with a side of cocktail sauce or a fresh green salad.
  • Leftovers can be wrapped tightly and refrigerated for up to 2 days; reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
