Description

A rich and savory salmon dish filled with a decadent seafood stuffing made of crab, shrimp, cream cheese, and herbs. Perfect for a gourmet dinner that comes together quickly.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, thick cut)
  • 1/2 cup lump crab meat (avoid imitation)
  • 1/2 cup shrimp, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking dish with parchment or foil.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, chopped shrimp, crab meat, garlic, green onions, lemon juice, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  3. Using a sharp knife, slice a pocket into each salmon fillet horizontally without cutting all the way through.
  4. Spoon the seafood filling into each pocket. It’s okay if a bit spills out. Sprinkle with paprika and optional breadcrumbs.
  5. Bake uncovered for 18–22 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily and filling is hot and lightly golden.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • Dry crab and shrimp with paper towels to avoid watery stuffing.
  • Let the salmon rest 5 minutes after baking to allow filling to set.
  • Can substitute with ricotta or Greek yogurt + mayo for a lighter filling.
  • Optional additions: spinach, shredded cheese, cayenne, jalapeños, or scallops instead of shrimp.
