Description

These Cotton Candy Rice Krispies Twists are a whimsical and colorful twist on classic cereal treats. With a hint of cotton candy flavoring and pastel hues, they’re perfect for parties or a fun dessert.


Ingredients

For the Rice Krispies Mixture:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • ½ teaspoon cotton candy flavoring extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

For Decoration:

  • Pastel food coloring (pink and blue recommended)
  • Optional: Cotton candy pieces or sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the Marshmallows: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Flavor the Mixture: Remove from heat and stir in the cotton candy flavoring.
  3. Color the Mixture: Divide the mixture into two bowls. Add pink food coloring to one bowl and blue to the other, stirring until uniform.
  4. Add Rice Krispies: Mix 3 cups of Rice Krispies into each bowl until fully coated.
  5. Shape the Twists: Take small handfuls of each colored mixture and twist them together to form swirled logs or press into a pan for a marbled effect.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let cool for 30 minutes before slicing or serving. Garnish with cotton candy pieces if desired.
