Description

These Copycat Big Mac Sliders are a delicious mini version of the classic fast-food burger, featuring savory ground beef with onions, melted American cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and a flavorful secret sauce, all sandwiched between soft slider buns topped with sesame seeds and golden butter.

Ingredients

Sliders

  • 12 Slider buns
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 7 slices American Cheese
  • 24 slices Pickle
  • Ketchup, to taste
  • Mustard, to taste
  • 2 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Butter, melted

Secret Sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoon Dill pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoon Yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon White wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Cook Onions: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the diced onions and cook for 3 minutes until they soften.
  2. Cook Beef: Add ground beef and salt to the skillet. Cook until the beef is fully cooked and onions become translucent, breaking the meat up as it cooks.
  3. Drain Grease: Remove excess grease from the cooked beef mixture to prevent sogginess and keep sliders flavorful.
  4. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
  5. Prepare Buns: Slice the slider buns in half, separating bottoms and tops, and set the tops aside.
  6. Assemble Base Layer: Arrange the bottom buns on a baking sheet to build the sliders.
  7. Add Beef Mixture: Spread the cooked beef and onion mixture evenly over each bottom bun.
  8. Add Cheese Layer: Place the American cheese slices over the beef mixture, layering 7 slices across the tops.
  9. Add Pickles: Lay the pickle slices evenly over the cheese on each slider.
  10. Add Condiments: Drizzle ketchup, mustard, and the prepared secret sauce generously over pickles.
  11. Top Buns: Place the slider bun tops over the fillings, closing each slider.
  12. Bake Covered: Cover the assembled sliders with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes to meld flavors.
  13. Butter and Sesame: Remove foil, brush melted butter on top buns, and sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over buns.
  14. Final Bake: Return sliders to oven uncovered and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is thoroughly melted and buns are golden.
  15. Serve: Remove from oven and serve warm, enjoying your homemade Big Mac sliders.

Notes

  • Use freshly chopped onions for the best flavor and texture in the beef mixture.
  • You can prepare the secret sauce in advance and store it refrigerated for up to a week.
  • Make sure to drain the grease thoroughly to prevent soggy buns.
  • If you prefer, substitute American cheese with your preferred melting cheese.
  • Adjust the amount of ketchup, mustard, and secret sauce according to taste preferences.
  • Sliders can be kept warm in the oven on low heat (around 200°F) if serving later.
