Ingredients
Dough:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Blue gel food coloring
Additional Mix-Ins:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup crushed chocolate chip cookies (like Chips Ahoy)
- 1 cup crushed mini Oreos
- Candy eyeballs (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Eggs and Flavor: Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract. Add blue gel food coloring to reach desired hue.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture and stir to combine.
- Stir in Mix-Ins: Fold in chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, crushed cookies, and mini Oreos.
- Scoop and Bake: Scoop dough into balls, place on baking sheets, press candy eyeballs onto each cookie, and bake for 10–12 minutes.
- Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
