Description

These delicious cookie bars are a perfect treat for any occasion. Chewy and packed with chocolate chips, they are easy to make and even easier to enjoy. Whip up a batch for your next gathering or as a sweet snack for the family.

Ingredients

Cookie Bars:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Bake: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Serve: Let cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Feel free to swap in white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or add chopped nuts for variation.
