- Heat the Cream Mixture: In a medium saucepan, combine the 2 1/2 cups heavy cream, 1/2 cup brewed strong coffee, and 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sugar dissolves completely and the liquid is hot but does not reach boiling point.
- Combine Gelatin and Cream Mixture: Add the bloomed gelatin mixture to the hot cream mixture and whisk vigorously until the gelatin dissolves fully and the mixture is smooth. Then stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for added aroma and flavor.
- Pour Mixture and Chill: Ladle the mixture evenly into ramekins or serving glasses. Allow them to cool to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator. Chill for at least 4 hours or until the panna cotta is set and has a creamy, jiggly texture.
- Serve: Once set, serve the Coffee Panna Cotta chilled. Optionally, garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or caramel sauce to enhance its flavor and presentation.
