- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

- Mix the custard: In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, salt, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Heat the milk: In a saucepan, warm the milk over medium heat, but do not boil.
- Combine ingredients: Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Fill the crust: Pour the custard mixture into the prepared crust.
- Bake: Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the center is set but slightly wobbly.
- Cool and serve: Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, sprinkle extra nutmeg on top before baking.
- Ensure the milk is only warmed, not hot, to prevent curdling the eggs.
