Ingredients
Sugar Mixture:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup light corn syrup
- ¼ cup water
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 cup raw or dry roasted peanuts
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Cook Sugar Mixture: In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until sugar dissolves and boil until it reaches 300°F.
- Add Peanuts: Stir in peanuts and cook until mixture reaches hard crack stage.
- Finish & Cool: Remove from heat, add remaining ingredients, pour onto baking sheet, spread, cool, and break into pieces.
