Ingredients

Sugar

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Butter

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (cut into pieces)

Heavy Cream

  • ½ cup heavy cream

Vanilla Extract

Salt (optional)

  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cooking the Sugar: In a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat, add the sugar and cook, stirring constantly until melted and amber in color.
  2. Adding Butter: Carefully add the butter and stir until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Incorporating Cream: Slowly pour in the heavy cream while stirring. Let it boil for 1 minute.
  4. Final Touches: Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and salt if using. Cool slightly before using.

Notes

  • Warm sauce before using if too thick.
