Description
A refreshing and creamy fruit salad made with marshmallows, fruit cocktail, and whipped cream, often enjoyed at gatherings and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup whipped cream (or whipped topping)
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherries, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained fruit cocktail and mini marshmallows.
- Add the sour cream and whipped cream to the fruit and marshmallows, stirring gently to combine.
- Fold in shredded coconut and chopped maraschino cherries, if using.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld together.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- This salad can be made ahead of time and kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
- Feel free to use any fruits you prefer, such as mandarin oranges or pineapple chunks, instead of fruit cocktail.
- If you prefer a lighter version, you can use low-fat whipped topping and sour cream.
