Ingredients
For the Bars:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
For the Cream Cheese Glaze:
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare the pan: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gradually add to wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Add final touches: Fold in heavy cream, white chocolate chips, and pecans. Spread batter in the pan.
