Ingredients
Puff Pastry:
1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
Cream Cheese Filling:
4 oz cream cheese (softened), 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Mix:
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Additional:
1 tablespoon melted butter, powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Prepare Pastry: Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface, roll it into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture over half of the pastry.
- Add Cinnamon Sugar: Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle over the cream cheese layer. Fold the pastry in half, press to seal, slice into strips, twist, and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake: Brush twists with melted butter and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
