Description

These Cinnamon Cheesecake Puff Pastry Twists are a delightful dessert that combines the creamy richness of cheesecake with the flaky goodness of puff pastry, all infused with a hint of cinnamon sweetness. These easy-to-make twists are perfect for any occasion, whether as a sweet treat for brunch or a delicious dessert after dinner.

Ingredients

Puff Pastry:

1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Cream Cheese Filling:

4 oz cream cheese (softened), 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Mix:

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Additional:

1 tablespoon melted butter, powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Cream Cheese Filling: In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Prepare Pastry: Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface, roll it into a 10×12-inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture over half of the pastry.
  4. Add Cinnamon Sugar: Mix cinnamon and brown sugar, then sprinkle over the cream cheese layer. Fold the pastry in half, press to seal, slice into strips, twist, and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Brush twists with melted butter and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can prepare these twists a few hours ahead and reheat them before serving.
  • For a glaze, mix powdered sugar with a splash of milk and drizzle over cooled twists.
