Description

Indulge in the festive spirit with this delightful Christmas Sugar Cookie Cheesecake. A buttery sugar cookie crust holds a creamy cheesecake filling, topped with whipped cream and holiday sprinkles for a truly merry treat.

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (homemade or store-bought)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup holiday sprinkles or crushed sugar cookies (optional mix-in)

For the topping:

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Holiday sprinkles or crushed cookies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and wrap with foil. Mix crushed sugar cookies and melted butter. Press into pan and bake.
  2. Mix Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, eggs, sour cream, flour, and salt. Fold in sprinkles or cookies.
  3. Bake: Pour filling over crust and bake in a water bath for 55–65 minutes. Cool in the oven, then refrigerate.
  4. Top and Serve: Add whipped cream and garnish with sprinkles or cookies before serving.

Notes

  • To prevent cracking, avoid overmixing. Water bath and gradual cooling help prevent cracks. Cheesecake can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
