Ingredients
For the crust:
- 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (homemade or store-bought)
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the filling:
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup holiday sprinkles or crushed sugar cookies (optional mix-in)
For the topping:
- 1 cup whipped cream
- Holiday sprinkles or crushed cookies for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and wrap with foil. Mix crushed sugar cookies and melted butter. Press into pan and bake.
- Mix Filling: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, eggs, sour cream, flour, and salt. Fold in sprinkles or cookies.
- Bake: Pour filling over crust and bake in a water bath for 55–65 minutes. Cool in the oven, then refrigerate.
- Top and Serve: Add whipped cream and garnish with sprinkles or cookies before serving.
Notes
- To prevent cracking, avoid overmixing. Water bath and gradual cooling help prevent cracks. Cheesecake can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
