Description

These Christmas Cookie Bars are a festive and delicious treat perfect for the holiday season. Loaded with colorful M&M’s, chocolate chips, and sprinkles, these bars are easy to make and sure to be a hit at any gathering.


Ingredients

Cookie Dough:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Additional Mix-Ins:

  • 1 cup red and green holiday M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup festive sprinkles


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  5. Combine mix-ins: Fold in the M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  6. Spread in pan: Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Sprinkle with festive sprinkles and gently press them into the dough.
  7. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  8. Cool and slice: Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
