Description

These Christmas Chocolate Chip Cookies are a festive treat perfect for holiday baking. Loaded with chocolate chips, M&M’s, and a hint of white chocolate, these cookies are sure to delight both kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

Cookie Dough:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Additional Mix-Ins:

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red and green M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • holiday-themed sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips, M&M’s, white chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
  3. Bake the Cookies: Scoop dough onto baking sheets. Add extra M&M’s or sprinkles on top. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • You can chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Substitute festive-colored candy for different holidays or omit the nuts for a nut-free version.
