Description

Christmas Baked Salmon is a delightful and festive dish perfect for holiday gatherings. This easy-to-make recipe features a flavorful glaze that complements the tender salmon, making it a standout main course for your Christmas dinner.

Ingredients

Salmon:

  • 1 side of salmon (2 to 2.5 pounds), skin on

Glaze:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme

Garnish:

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Prepare the salmon: Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on the prepared sheet.
  3. Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, Dijon mustard, honey, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and rosemary. Brush the mixture evenly over the top of the salmon.
  4. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 135–140°F.
  5. Rest and garnish: Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, chopped parsley, and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • This salmon makes a festive and elegant centerpiece for a holiday table.
  • You can prepare the glaze up to 1 day ahead.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the salmon for 30 minutes before baking.
