Chris’s Hawaiian Fluff Salad is a delightful tropical fruit salad with a creamy, fluffy texture that’s perfect as a side dish or dessert. This easy-to-make recipe is filled with pineapple, mandarin oranges, cherries, coconut, nuts, pudding mix, whipped topping, and marshmallows for a sweet and refreshing treat.
Ingredients
Canned Fruits:
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 jar (10 ounces) maraschino cherries, halved and drained
Other Ingredients:
- 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 tub (8 ounces) whipped topping, thawed
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
Instructions
- Combine Fruits: In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained pineapple, mandarin oranges, and cherries.
- Add Pudding Mix: Sprinkle the dry vanilla pudding mix over the fruit and stir until evenly coated.
- Include Coconut and Nuts: Gently fold in the shredded coconut and nuts.
- Mix in Whipped Topping: Add the whipped topping and mix until smooth and creamy.
- Add Marshmallows: Stir in the mini marshmallows until fully combined.
- Chill and Serve: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Enjoy chilled as a side dish or dessert.
Notes
- For extra tropical flavor, use coconut pudding mix instead of vanilla.
- You can also substitute macadamia nuts for a true Hawaiian twist.
- Best enjoyed the same day but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
