Description

Indulge in the rich, creamy goodness of this Chocolate Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting. It’s the perfect balance of chocolatey richness and light, fluffy texture, making it ideal for topping cakes, cupcakes, or any dessert that needs a decadent touch.

Ingredients

Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (cold)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Beat Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, beat the cold cream cheese until smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes.
  2. Add Ingredients: Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat again until fully combined and fluffy.
  3. Whip Cream: With the mixer on low speed, slowly stream in the cold heavy cream. Once all the cream is added, increase the speed to medium-high and beat until stiff peaks form and the frosting holds its shape. Do not overbeat.
  4. Use: Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or pipe onto desserts. Keep refrigerated.

Notes

  • For best texture, use full-fat brick-style cream cheese and cold heavy cream.
  • This frosting is stable enough to pipe but light and fluffy like whipped cream.
  • Yields enough to frost 12 cupcakes or fill and frost a 2-layer 8-inch cake.
