Description

Indulge in the decadent delight of Chocolate Turtle Cake, a luscious dessert combining rich devil’s food cake, sweet caramel, creamy whipped topping, and crunchy pecans. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 box devil’s food cake mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as called for on box)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

For the Topping:

  • 1 ½ cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • drizzle of caramel sauce
  • drizzle of chocolate syrup
  • additional chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the cake mix: Mix the devil’s food cake according to package instructions and bake as directed.
  3. Poke holes and add toppings: Once baked, poke holes in the cake and pour sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce over it. Let it cool.
  4. Add final touches: Sprinkle chocolate chips and pecans, top with whipped cream, drizzle with caramel and chocolate syrup, and sprinkle with pecans.
  5. Chill and serve: Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • This cake tastes best when made ahead and chilled overnight
