Ingredients
Chocolate Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Cheesecake Filling:
- 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
- 1/2 cup strawberry preserves or puree
- Red gel food coloring (optional for a deeper swirl color)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan. Mix chocolate crumbs and melted butter, press into pan.
- Mix Cream Cheese: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, sour cream, and vanilla.
- Add Eggs: Mix in eggs one at a time.
- Divide Batter: Split batter in half. Stir melted chocolate into one half, strawberry into the other.
- Layer Batter: Pour chocolate batter into crust, then spoon strawberry batter on top.
- Swirl Batter: Use a knife to swirl batters together.
- Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes until set. Cool in oven, then chill before serving.
Notes
- For a stronger strawberry flavor, use concentrated strawberry puree instead of preserves.
- Add fresh sliced strawberries or shaved chocolate for garnish before serving.
