Description

Indulge in the decadent goodness of this Chocolate Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake. A rich, creamy cheesecake with a luscious chocolate and strawberry swirl, all nestled on a chocolate cookie crust.

Ingredients

Chocolate Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Cheesecake Filling:

  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted and slightly cooled
  • 1/2 cup strawberry preserves or puree
  • Red gel food coloring (optional for a deeper swirl color)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan. Mix chocolate crumbs and melted butter, press into pan.
  2. Mix Cream Cheese: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, sour cream, and vanilla.
  3. Add Eggs: Mix in eggs one at a time.
  4. Divide Batter: Split batter in half. Stir melted chocolate into one half, strawberry into the other.
  5. Layer Batter: Pour chocolate batter into crust, then spoon strawberry batter on top.
  6. Swirl Batter: Use a knife to swirl batters together.
  7. Bake: Bake for 55–65 minutes until set. Cool in oven, then chill before serving.

Notes

  • For a stronger strawberry flavor, use concentrated strawberry puree instead of preserves.
  • Add fresh sliced strawberries or shaved chocolate for garnish before serving.
