Ingredients
For the crust:
- 1 package (14.3 oz) chocolate sandwich cookies (like Oreos, crushed)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the layers:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
For topping:
- Additional Cool Whip
- Crushed peppermint
- Chocolate shavings or syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: Mix crushed cookies and melted butter, press into a 9×13-inch pan, and chill.
- Make the cream cheese layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar, and peppermint extract, then fold in half of Cool Whip and spread over the crust.
- Prepare the pudding layer: Whisk pudding mix and milk until thickened, spread over the cream cheese layer.
- Finish with toppings: Add remaining Cool Whip, chocolate chips, and crushed peppermint candies. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Serve: Add additional toppings before serving if desired.
