Ingredients
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Wet Ingredients:
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Additional:
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, slightly warmed
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually mix wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined; do not overmix.
- Fill Muffin Cups: Divide batter evenly into muffin cups, filling about two-thirds full.
- Add Peanut Butter Swirl: Drop 1 teaspoon of peanut butter on top of each muffin and swirl lightly with a toothpick.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle with chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool and Serve: Let muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
