Ingredients
For the banana batter:
- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
For the chocolate batter:
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Prepare chocolate batter: Divide the batter into two bowls. In one bowl, mix cocoa powder and milk to create the chocolate batter.
- Marble the batters: Alternate spoonfuls of plain and chocolate batters in the pan. Swirl together with a knife for a marbled effect.
- Bake: Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
