- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Prepare the cupcake batter: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, dry ingredients, and milk. Fold in chocolate chips. Bake for 18–20 minutes.
- Make the cookie dough filling: Beat together butter, sugars, milk, and vanilla. Mix in flour, salt, and chocolate chips. Form small balls and freeze.
- Prepare the frosting: Beat butter, add powdered sugar, brown sugar, milk, vanilla, and salt until fluffy.
- Assemble the cupcakes: Core the cupcakes, insert cookie dough balls, frost, and garnish with chocolate chips.
